With so many resorts to choose from in Mexico, how do you know if you have chosen the right one for yourself? That’s where we come in. We are always learning about the resorts and we are lucky enough to be able to experience them ourselves. Recently I went down to the Mayan Riviera to stay 1 week at the 5* El Dorado Royale a Gourmet Inclusive Resort. Gourmet Inclusive? What does this mean? Buffets were all the rage when All Inclusive came about, but as we begin to see the rise of healthy and sustainable foods and restaurants, Karisma hotels said goodbye to buffets. Situated on the grounds of the El Dorado Royale, sits a 75,670 square foot greenhouse where they grow the resorts organic vegetables and herbs including cucumbers, bell peppers, chilies, basil and much more. Rated four diamond resort by AAA and voted one of the top 100 resorts in the world by Conde Nast Travel, this is Mexico’s premier all adult-only beachfront resort where couples, wedding parties and honeymooners can foster togetherness. Stretched out on a secluded beach, the resort boasts swim up Jacuzzi suites, one of the best spas in the region and personal concierge services. With over 12 restaurants and a pizzeria to health juice bar, there is something for everyone. Your meals are cooked to order and fresh and use only the best meat… that’s right Canadian Beef. Enjoy 24 hour room service, 6 swimming pools, tennis, non-motorised sports daily activities and much more. I found this resort to be very romantic, I was able to have a candlelit dinner on the beach, enjoyed an amazing couples massage and lazing the days away on the many beach Bali beds. I never felt like the resort was busy, I didn’t have to reserve a chair at 9am to be near the pool or beach and with so many restaurants, I was able to get a table for meals with little wait times. So if you are looking for romance, celebrate your wedding with friends and family or looking for pure relaxation, The El Dorado Royale is the perfect fit.
